Litigation Attorney

Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of litigation from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations
• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw
• Represent clients in court proceedings
• Negotiate favorable outcomes through effective advocacy
• Collaborate with legal assistants and administrative staff to ensure efficient case management

• JD from an accredited law school with active CA Bar admission
• 4-6+ years of civil litigation defense experience
• Deposition experience (taking and defending)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Superior legal research and analytical skills
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and work alongside senior attorneys
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in LexisNexis and Westlaw

• Salary: $140,000 - $180,000
• Billable hours: ~1,650/year
